Capabilities

Our Services & Capabilities

An independent environmental consultancy specialising in environmental planning, water, and carbon-rich soils technical services — drawing on a solid technical understanding of key environmental planning constraints to de-risk developments early.

Environmental Impact Assessments

From Screening to full EIA reporting, including robust non-EIA Determination Screening requests.

Environmental Planning Constraints Mapping & Analysis

GIS-based analysis of planning policy constraints for robust, evidence-led site selection.

Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP)

CEMPs and environmental input into detailed design, keeping construction phases compliant and on track.

Compilation & Production of Planning Submission Materials

  • Planning Statements & Design & Access Statements
  • Compilation and production of materials for planning submission to Local Authorities and Energy Consents Unit

Geospatial Services & Mapping

In-house GIS mapping outputs, produced as standalone deliverables or embedded within technical reports.

Training, Coaching & Mentoring of Technical Personnel

Developing less experienced personnel through structured coaching and technical mentoring.

Environmental Risk & Opportunity Registers

Generation and maintenance of live registers that track environmental risk and opportunity across a project.

  • Private Water Supply & GWDTE AssessmentGWDTE: Groundwater Dependent Terrestrial Ecosystems.
    • Obtaining and reviewing all relevant data to assess risk to groundwater receptors.
    • Presentation of assessment results within clean and easy-to-understand reporting formats and figures.
  • SEPA Permits - Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations.
    • Leading pre-application consultation with SEPA Regulatory Services to determine EASR permit activities and activity level.
    • Early and ongoing liaison with design leads to ensure the evolving design can be licensed quickly and that all information required for application submission is accurate and available.
  • Flood Risk Assessment
    • For certain developments we can provide flood risk baseline mapping, and appropriate assessment
  • Carbon-rich soils and peat mapping.
    • We provide processing and presentation of peat depth survey data.
    • Most importantly we review this baseline data and ensure your design minimises impacts on this key environmental aspect, in accordance with planning policy, and SEPA / NatureScot guidance.
  • Hydrology and hydrogeology environmental assessment.
    • In support of planning applications, we can produce statutory (EIA Report) or non-statutory water environment statements, including all maps and figures.
